Aurora, IL – United Auto Workers (UAW) Fox River Valley PAC endorses Linda Chapa LaVia for Mayor of Aurora. UAW Fox River Valley PAC represents locals 145, 904, 1088, and 2323 with over 1,100 members residing in Aurora.
“During your time in State Legislature you have shown a continued commitment to the working families of Aurora. This along with your service in the United States Army shows your commitment to the betterment of this community and for that we thank you,” said PAC Chairman Nick Richards.
“My father was a member of the UAW. I understand firsthand how labor unions can make a positive impact on the quality of lives for their members and the overall economic health of local communities” said Chapa LaVia. “As Aurora’s next mayor I will fight every day to help create good paying jobs and be a constant advocate for all of Auroras hard working families.”

Chapa LaVia is a lifelong resident of Aurora, a veteran of the U.S. Army and was first elected to the Illinois House in 2002. While serving in the House she has been a leader on education issues, has stood up for veterans, and has delivered millions of dollars to Aurora helping to improve the quality of life for its residents.
